These policies apply to all trustees, members, volunteers, and staff on and off the premises, including those working away on a volunteer trip.
Everyone will be treated with dignity and respect at A Chance for Change. Bullying and harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
As an adult working at A Chance for Change, whether as a member of staff or volunteer, you have a responsibility to ensure that everyone attending activities, particularly children, young people, and vulnerable adults, are protected from harm. It is the responsibility of each adult working at A Chance for Change to ensure their behavior is appropriate at all times. All adults must follow the procedures following suspicion, disclosure, or allegation of child abuse. They must recognize the position of trust in which they have been placed and observe the safety and security of the children, and prioritize the relationships they form with the children, young people, and vulnerable adults are appropriate.
This is any situation in which a trustee’s personal interest or loyalties could be seen in preventing them from making a decision only in the best of interests to the charity. This can be seen in deliberate exploitation of the situation by one party for their personal benefit and will not be accepted.
